dominant
The Dominant(s) (king and queen) are the leaders of their pride, and have full authority over everyone within said pride. They assign patrols, give their pride members every day duties, and help to keep their pride standing tall at the top of the food chain.

The Commander is in charge of keeping the fighting ranks(Warrior, Executioner, Assassin) in line. They assign battle formations, and take orders directly from the Dominants to give to each protective class.

The General is in charge of keeping the protective ranks (Guard, Scout, Hunter) in line. They assign hunting and territory patrols, and take orders directly from the Dominants to give to each fighting class.

The Oracle is in charge of the medical rank. (Undertaker) They're the lead Shaman, and are only consulted if a lion's injury is too serious for the less experienced Undertakers to handle. The Oracle assigns trips to other Undertakers whenever they're low on a certain herb, and is hardly seen leaving camp. (They're usually quite old as well.)

The Sentinels are the protection of the pride, more formally known as "guards." They're the main protecting class, and are usually seen to be large, heavy built lions and lionesses. The Mercenaries are the stealthiest of the pride, more formally known as "assassins." Usually doing their jobs within the night, they are usually seen to be smaller, lankier built lions and lionesses. The Envoys are the providers of the pride, more formally known as "hunters." They're in charge of catching food for the pride every other day, and are usually seen to be medium sized, yet heavy built lionesses. (Please note - You can be denied of this rank if a dominant or other high rank sees your character unfit for said rank.)

The Undertakers are the healers of the pride, more formally known as "medics". They're in charge of keeping the pride healthy and mending any wounds a lion within the pride has.

The Bards are the eldest of the pride, more formally known as "elders." They're the most respected within the pride, and are often known for telling small cubs are curious Novices tales of the pride's history. (Please note - Your lion or lioness can become a Bard if they're seriously crippled and can no longer do any of the jobs within the pride, no matter they're age)

novice
The Novices are the adolescents of the pride, more formally known as "teenagers." Once these younger lions hit the Novice stage, they're instantly examined to see which rank they'd fit in with the most. (Body build, strengths and weaknesses are tested. They are to then follow a few chosen members of said rank around and learn off of them how to do their job correctly.

young
The Young are the youngest of the pride, more formally known as "cubs." They are too young to do any kind of job, and therefore are off the hook and are free to play and grow as they please until they're old enough to begin Novice training.
